Seattle, WA...April 26, 2011...One of Tooth & Nail Records’ most promising new signings, Hyland, is set to release their label debut next Tuesday, May 3rd. Their debut, Weights & Measures, will be showcased with multiple hometown release shows next week in Minneapolis, MN. Details for the three shows in the Twin Cities area are below and available at the band’s Facebook.
"We couldn't feel more blessed and excited about the next couple of months: releasing an album in a week, playing hometown shows, and hitting the road with some of the greatest bands we know," shares Steve (drummer) from Hyland. "We have been meeting incredible people with amazing stories and lives at our shows across the country - can't wait to continue this summer! We've put our entire lives into this album. We've given it everything. All we ask is that people give it a chance. We know they'll be able to feel the heart behind our songs and be able to connect and get behind it. Also as festival season nears, it means finally getting some color on our winter-white Minnesota skin!"
In addition to next week’s release, fans can check out the debut radio single’s music video “This Love is Free” premiering at Air1’s website here. Also fans can listen to the album in full starting today here as well as share it with their friends.
Following their release, Hyland will hit the road on the Mother May I tour with Abandon Kansas and Wavorly starting May 13th through June 4th. Check out their Facebook for dates and details in a city near you. On Memorial Day weekend, Hyland will join the pop-sensation Plain White T’s for the JOURNEY’s Backyard BBQ - May 28th. The JOURNEY’S Backyard BBQ is a free event for all ages, and is held in five major cities across the nation May-June. More details and schedule here.
About Hyland:
Melodic rockers hailing from Minneapolis, MN grabbed the label’s attention with their EP “Quotients,” which was produced by Ben Kasica of Skillet and Nick Rad of Acceptance. This forthcoming full-length release was produced by Aaron Sprinkle in Seattle and mixed by JR McNeely. With a strong local following and independent EP, Hyland also blew away Tooth & Nail with their live performance and strong original songs. Also, this year the band was named one of Alternative Press’ 100 BANDS TO WATCH. For more information on Hyland, visit: http://www.myspace.com/hylandrock and follow the band on Twitter @ HylandRock
